DAVE KALZ
Dave's love affair with music began at the young age of 4 years old when he discovered the likes of B.B. King, Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and Foghat. As the years passed, Dave's evolution is credited to the moment he bought Deguello by ZZ Top and continued when he discovered Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Fast forward through his evolution to the release of Relish, Dave's solo debut album, at which time you will see for yourself some elements of ZZ Top's and Stevie Ray Vaughn's essence scattered throughout the swampy and gritty signature riffs on the album.

"My first trip to New Orleans, followed by a trip to the New Mexico and Arizona deserts changed how I would write and hear music in my head forever. It became more spiritual. I wanted my guitar to emote sounds that evoked grit and grease, but with a hint of dark mystery and intrigue. Everything I do now goes back to that. That's the sound that has been in my head ever since."

From 1998-2000 and 2005, Dave Kalz was a founding member of Devon Allman's Honeytribe which toured as the opening act for Devon's father, Gregg Allman. He also has shared stages with The Allman Brothers Band, Dickey Betts, Chuck Berry, Little Feat, Thee Fabulous Thunderbirds, Robert Cray, Molly Hatchet, Night Ranger, Gregg Rolie, and many others.

In 2018, Dave formed the band "Anthology - An Allman Brothers Tribute Band" featuring former members of Gregg Allman's 1978 touring band, Danny Liston and Richard Steltenphol, who were also founding members of Mama's Pride. "Anthology" also featured Grammy Award winner, the late Yonrico Scott, formerly of Derek Trucks Band and Royal Southern Brotherhood, as well as award winning blues guitarist, Mike Zito, also formerly of Royal Southern Brotherhood.

Dave's current touring band band features two long-time bandmates, Mark Oyarzabal on drums and Randy Cash on bass. Oyarzabal and Cash both toured with Devon Allman's "Dark Horses" and Oyarzabal played in Honeytribe with Dave and Devon for over 10 years.
